Trying Hard to Remember the Blog

Grrr... I'm not good at remembering a blog... 7 months without remembering... I say thats pretty bad. Anyways, I guess I will tell you a little about stuff lately. Lots has been going on!

First thing I'm excited to tell you about is I got my braces off!!! I say I look pretty spiffy... Haha. Its really cool. Although I got a retainer now, which is more annoying because I got to remember it constantly, its all good. I can't play trumpet nearly as well as I could (My tone became a lot more airy, and my range dropped WAY too much), I'm working on it. I'm really happy. I'm getting a lot of compliments about my teeth, even though I'm not wanting to draw that attention, I don't mind when it happens :D

My Eagle Application and Paperwork came back from Nationals today!!! I'm officially an Eagle Scout! Cool stuff... My parents won't show me anything, but oh well. The Court Of Honor will probably be April 14th, this year, that way, Juleen can be back to see, because sooo much is already happening here without her... So I'll give her this, the date I actually have control over... Haha.

In a couple of weeks, I test for my Black Belt in taekwon-do!!! I test March 7th, at the Taekwon-do studio in Boise. Anyone who wants to come is invited! Email me for directions, bigbrother527@hotmail.com. Its going to be cool... I'm nervous, I'll admit. And whats even better (*cough cough*) is that I have a tournament the week right after. I will have fun, of course, but I'm also nervous about this because what will happen is I'm completely new to the belt of black... If thats how you want to put it... But anyways, black belt sparring is a step up from colored belt fighting. Its a lot harder.
My Advantages:
I'm probably going to be the oldest, and biggest in my division, because I just barely missed the adults division.
I've beat a few black belts before :D 2nd degree black belts even...
Most of the black belts in the division are usually twelve year olds, but of course, there has always gotta be a couple prodigies....
Jordan Davis is going to be out of there; he made the adults division. Whether he is going to be at the tournament at all is a completle mystery... But he would always beat me.
My Disadvantages:
I'm completely new to black belt sparring.
Instead of going through 5 to 10 man brackets, I'm probably going to be going through 20-30 man brackets. A LOT more chances to slip up and lose.
I'm going to have to learn and perfect my new hyung, "Kwan-Gae" in time for the tournament. This form is a lot longer and uses a lot more unfamiliar moves than my previous forms, so if I'm gonna stand a form in the hyungs division, I'm going to have to work nonstop that week.

Hopefully I will win... I'll keep you updated about that.

Right now, I'm being hooked up with a couple girls that wanna make a band by Troy McClain (Thanks to him!) and I'm really excited. Hopefully, I can bring in a boy bassist or something to not single me out. Right now, the hard part is just getting ahold of Troy. We are trying to get a date planned to figure if this will even work. I hear transportation is taken care of though! I'll also keep you updated on that!

I'm getting my driver's permit in a couple of weeks! Drivers look out! Haha. Just kidding. I'm pretty cautious... I really try. Anyways. I will be able to test late August. Hope to see you drivers on the road!

Thats whats happened to me lately. Wow, that took a half an hour to write this...
